    Mickey from KY Asked

We are visiting California in early July. Since we only have one day at Disneyland, we bought a one day park hopper. Which park would be the best to visit first in the morning? And which rides should we go to first?

    Hello Mickey!

First off, what a perfect name to have while visiting Disneyland Resort! Short trips can still be packed full of magic!

When my boys and I only have one day to visit both parks, we always start early. Usually arriving at the gates 30-45 minutes before opening to snap pictures of the iconic front entrance to Disneyland Park before then getting in line across the way for Disney California Adventure Park.

Once inside, we head straight to the Radiator Springs Racers FASTPASS kiosk over by It’s Tough To Be a Bug! as these FASTPASS tickets can go rather quickly. You will get a return time to come back and not have to wait in the regular ride queue, which will save time to enjoy other rides like Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, also in Cars Land. After that my boys love to head over to Paradise Pier and ride Mickey’s Fun Wheel and enjoy a spin in Toy Story’s Midway Mania.

Next up on our list of fun is to head over to Disneyland Park and ride Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Pirates of the Caribbean. The Haunted Mansion is another must for us and then my oldest and I try to hit up all of the Mountains. Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. We end the day watching the Fireworks over Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

You can see the full list of attractions available at both parks on their website but I hope this glimpse into our typical plans helps you plan your magical visit! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    See you real soon!
