Visiting Aug 25-27. Family of 4 with kids 4 & 7. WDW many times, 1st DL!! Where would you recommend for dinner in each park? Which hotel character breakfast for Aug 28 before long flight back to UK? Any other tips as busy summer visiting time? Thanks

    Hi Claire,

You're going to Walt's original theme park, the history and magic, in and of itself, is something to take in.

When visiting Disneyland park, we like to dine at the Blue Bayou inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. This restaurant has the best ambiance as you "dine under the stars," no matter what time of day. The chirp of crickets and seeing the boats pass by adds to the mystical atmosphere.

While in Disney California Adventure Park, we love Carthay Circle Restaurant. This is a must see and their menu is exquisite, you will want to try their Rose Petal Soda or the Carthay Club Mojito, these being a tribute to the "Golden Age" of Hollywood.

Try the Breakfast with Classic Disney Characters over at Storytellers Cafe, we book this every visit.

Be sure to utilize the FASTPASS service for some of the popular attractions. This will help minimize wait times. You will also want to take advantage of any early entries that you are offered. This extra hour in the morning can give you some more time to enjoy some of your favorites.

Newly refurbished attractions and magic you won't want to miss are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, all of Disney California Adventure (specifically: The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Radiator Springs Racers, all of Carsland, Goofy's Sky School, and California Screamin'), to name a few.

Attractions like The Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters are slightly different than the Walt Disney World Resort and worth seeing the uniqueness.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit us here and let us know how we can help you plan your vacation.
