We will be visiting Animal Kingdom next week with our 1 & 3 year old. What would be your ideal itinerary for a visit with toddlers to the Animal Kingdom.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Darlene!

I’m so happy to learn you are planning a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom with your tiny tikes! My pre-school aged princess absolutely loves this park. It has tons to offer for the little ones, so let’s get right to it!

Getting to the parks early is always a smart planning approach for a successful and magical day. Start off your day with Kilimanjaro Safaris, a must-do attraction the whole family will enjoy. I suggest booking a FastPass+ so you can save time.  Then, hop on the Wildlife Express Train that will take you to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you will be able to get up close and personal with some cuddly friends in the Affection Section. Another must-do is a visit to Pandora -the World of Avatar. This new land transforms from day to night and it's truly beyond belief.

Next stop, Festival of the Lion King. Your littles will be ready for some nice sit-down entertainment, and this amazing show does not disappoint! You also want to schedule some time for Finding Nemo – The Musical. Another top-notch show that doubles as a nice break from the hot mid-day sun. Last but not least, your 3-year old will love exploring The Boneyard in DinoLand U.S.A. A super fun digging site where littles can explore and play.

I hope you have a wild adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Be sure to explore more preschooler friendly adventures with this handy online guide and don’t hesitate to come back and see us again soon with any more questions about your visit!  Caw! Caw! Roar! ~Emille
