Hi! Visiting AK morning then wanting to jump to see Fantasmic. Can I use our 3rd FP+ for that at HS? Also, using the military 4 day hopper ticket. Is it doable to see AK and HS in one day so that we can have 2 full days at MK? Thanks :)

Hello Rachael! Thanks for stopping in to see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you've got a great plan laid out so far for your vacation. The way that Disney's FastPass+ works is that you will plan 3 initial FastPass+ selections in advance of your trip. 60 days in advance if you are staying on-site, and 30 days in advance if you are staying off-site. All 3 of these initial FastPass+ selections must be from the same park. So if you are visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom in the morning, you will plan your 3 FastPass+ selections from Animal Kingdom. After you have park hopped over to Disney's Hollywood Studios you will have to find a FastPass+ Kiosk and tell the Cast Member that you have park hopped and would like to make an additional FastPass+ selection. I cannot guarantee that a Fantasmic! FastPass+ option will be available, as they do indeed go fast. What I can suggest is that once you do get to the FastPass+ Kiosk, ask the Cast Member if a Fantasmic! FastPass+ selection is available. If it is not, you can pick another option, perhaps an attraction, and once it appears in your My Disney Experience account you can make changes to it from your smartphone via the My Disney Experience App. You might find that you can change your attraction FastPass+ selection to a Fantasmic! selection, you never know. It is worth a shot. And if that does not work, you still have a great chance of seeing Fantasmic!, just not in the FastPass+ area.

I do think that it is doable to see Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in one day. They both have fewer attractions, and if it means making space for an extra day at the Magic Kingdom, I say go for it. However, I do love Animal Kingdom and I could spend the entire day there. It just depends on what you want to see. Adequate planning will only help you. Look around on the Walt Disney World vacation planing site and plan out in advance exactly what you want to experience.

If you need anything else please let us know. Have a magical day!
