When we visited WDW 3 years ago, we waited in a long line to eat lunch at Be Our Guest. I see now they take reservations but none are available during our visit. Do they still offer the option of waiting in line to eat or is it all reservation-based now?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

When Be Our Guest Restaurant first opened at Magic Kingdom Park, I too remember waiting in long lines at lunch in order to be able to dine there. As you know, there this restaurant now takes reservations, even though it’s a counter-service location at lunch. Because of this, much like every other Walt Disney World Resort table-service restaurant, it’s very difficult to get a table without a dining reservation.

Don’t give up, though! I’ve found that reservations often free up 24-48 hours beforehand, so I would definitely recommend checking frequently to see whether a coveted lunch reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant opens up for your family’s upcoming vacation. I’ve had great luck with “last-minute” reservations on several of my recent trips, and I hope you will too!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
