I have visited the parks 20+ times in my lifetime (I'm 26). This Thanksgiving I will be bringing my boyfriend to WDW for his first trip ever and want to make it very special. How can a vetern visitor plan a memorable trip for an adult first timer?

    Hi Sarah,

We recently had a similar situation where we took my grandmother for her first trip, and we were park veterans. A few things that we found was to include her in the planning process. Use www.disneyworld.com or travel guides like The Complete Idiot's Guide to Disney World, to show him the numerous parks, restaurants, attractions and shows. Feel free to answer questions and give ideas on your favorites, but allow him the chance to make his own list of "must-do's". Include him in your restaraunt choices and reservations.

Once on property, let him enjoy all the magic at his pace. Remind him that he will not be able to see and do everything so slow down and encourage him to listen to the sounds, enjoy the sights and smells and more. Consider enjoying a tour together. There are a number of great behind the scenes choices and you can find more information here. If a tour isn't your style, maybe a round of golf or a spa appointment. Thanksgiving is a great time to visit as the holiday decorations will be up and there is a number of special events.

You may want to arrange to have his very first pair of Mickey ears delivered to your room, or perhaps a romantic package for both of you to enjoy. The Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts can help you create just the right package for this special trip.

Most importantly, enjoy your time together. Just being there together to enjoy all that Disney World has to offer will help create memories neither one of you will ever forget.
