Visit May 2016, will be there for 3 weeks. It's cheaper for us to get annual passes & needto know if we purchase the passes now do they expire 1 yr from the date of purchase or 1 yr from the 1st day of use? Want them for 2017 vaca too!

Hi Kimberly! Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! A three week stay sure sounds like magic to me!

I have great news, unless you are a Florida resident; your Walt Disney World Annual Pass will expire one year from the first day that you use the pass! So, you can purchase your Walt Disney World Annual Pass online or over the phone before your trip without losing any time on your pass. As a Passholder, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days before you check in – for the length of your hotel stay! There is also a great resource on the Walt Disney World resort website for frequently asked questions about the Annual Pass Program!

Another perk to consider is the discounts that you are entitled to as a Walt Disney World Annual Pass holder. If you are staying at the Walt Disney World Resort, make sure you call and check to see if there are any Annual Passholder room rates available for your stay. It has been my experience that we have saved a lot of money on resort hotel rates using our annual pass! Also don’t forget about discounts on merchandise, backstage tours, recreation (think spa treatments), offers on dining, and much more!

I hope that your family enjoys your three week vacation! I think it will be filled with plenty of pixie dust, magic, and memories that will last a lifetime!
