We would like to visit in June 2015. We are a family of 5, 3 children ages 17, 13, and 13. What resort would accommodate us the best?

    Hello, Anne!

A Walt Disney World vacation is the perfect way to kick-off summer break with your family. The Disney Resort hotels can accommodate families of all sizes and age interests, and I'm happy to share a few suggestions for your upcoming trip.

If you are traveling on a budget, check for two connecting rooms at any of the Value Resorts. You will have plenty of space (and separation) for the entire family, plus you will have the added benefit of two full bathrooms.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are quite spacious, and come equipped with a full kitchen. After a long day of grilling out and park hopping, you won't have to worry about washing the dishes -- let the friendly Cast Members take care of that for you! The Wilderness Cabins offer bunk beds for the younger teens, as well as a double-sized bed for the older teen.

If you're hoping to stay a bit closer to the magic, you may want to choose one of the monorail resorts. My personal favorite is Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's only steps away from Magic Kingdom Park! I prefer to stay out in the Garden Wing, as these rooms are close to the main pool and tranquil Bay Lake, but it can be a bit of a walk to the monorail station and on-site dining locations. Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, also located along the monorail loop, is a beautiful island-themed resort with standard rooms that can sleep up to 5 adults comfortably, as well.

I hope that you and your family make many magical memories together, Anne! Please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel if you have any other questions. Happy planning!
