hi, were going to visit for July 11 to July 17 coming from CA and our flight is late afternoon. Will be arriving at Orlando July 12, 5am. is that considered as our 1st nite? How's the weather normally during those times will it be tolerable for my 4yr old?

    Hi Karen,

Traveling across the country with a small child is anything but predictable.  She could sleep the entire way (fingers crossed), or she could be ready to crash as soon as you arrive at the airport.  The first day of your vacation might be a little tricky, simply because of the time your flight arrives, but once you get through that first day, everything should even out.

Your first night is the first night you book at your resort.  If you're arriving on July 12, I would assume that that evening will be the first night you'll spend in your resort room.  I strongly recommend using online check-in.  There is a space on the online form that asks when you are scheduled to arrive.  I'm fairly certain that your room won't be ready when you arrive at the resort; however, you're more likely to have a room ready for you early if they are expecting you.

The weather in July is hot.  Even early in the morning, it will be warm.  Bring plenty of sunscreen, and mini-handheld fans are a good idea to have for cooling off.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
