3rd visit to Disney World -wanting to stay at CSR- wanting to have a room closest to the main pool and close to a bus stop. I read a review that said if I booked a preferred room I will be close to the main building but away from the pool -is this correct?

Coronado Spring Resort is such a great place to stay.  You are correct .  The Preferred buildings at Coronado Springs are Casitas 1, 2 and 3 and are closest to the hotel services and restaurant.   If you want to stay closest to the pool,  I would suggest booking your room and putting in a request for a room closest to The Dig Site.  The Dig Site encompasses the entire area which includes the pool, slide, arcade, volleyball court and playground.  Unfortunately requests are not guaranteed, but Disney does it's best to fulfill them.  Personally, I would request specific buildings in either the Cabana or Rancho section.  Try for any of these and you should be pleased.... Cabana 8a, 9a and 8b and Rancho 7b, 6b and 6a.  Reservations will take your request, and I would reiterate that request at check-in as well.  You will not have a problem being close to a bus stop either. Although Coronado Springs is a large Resort, there are 4 bus stops which stop at El Centro (main area), Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas.  Additionally, there is internal transportation if you don't want to walk through the resort to get to other areas within the complex.

I wish you a MAGICAL vacation, Clare!
