This visit our daughter will be 11. Last visit to WDW she was able to order off the kids menu, now she can't. What are our options when dining at the resort? She couldn't eat an adult meal. Would be a waste of money and food.

    Hi Bobbie!

My son often doesn't like what is offered on the adult menu so he orders from the children's menu. Most restaurants in Walt Disney World will let you purchase a kids meal for kids older than ages 3 to 9 or even if they are considered an adult. It is really up to that particular restaurant so it doesn't hurt to ask. It has been my experience that around 90% of the Walt Disney World restaurants that I have eaten at with my son have let me do this exact thing. If your daughter is really hungry, you can ask for a larger portion of a kid's meal for a nominal additional fee or you can order two kids meals (typically under $20.00 total for both kid's meals which is cheaper than an adult meal) like my son does. For Buffets, Character Meals, and Dinner Shows you will have to pay the full adult price for the meal.

I hope that all of your meals are magical on your next Walt Disney World vacation!
