We visit in Aug on MYW package at Old Key West-6nts, inc DDP then Art of Animation on RO. How early can we check out of OKW? Would checkout mean we cant use our DDP/park tickets till new check in? How can we arrange our bags to be moved?

    Hi there, Michelle!

As long as you've left a credit card with the front desk to take care of any balance that might be due at the end of your stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort, you can check out just as soon as you wake up in the morning. Your Dining Plan and Park tickets will remain active until midnight on the day you check out, so you'll still be able to use those during the day.

I really love having a split-stay at two different Resort hotels because the Cast Members make it so very easy to move your bags. When you leave your room at Old Key West, just bring your luggage to Bell Services and let them know that you are moving to Disney's Art of Animation Resort and you'd like them to transfer your bags there. They will label your bags and hand you a ticket that you'll take to Bell Services at your new Resort to pick up your bags. The amount of time it takes to transfer your luggage is typically going to be around 3 hours, so just take any items you might need sooner with you. We've often packed a pool bag and hung out at the pool until our room was ready!

I hope this helps, Michelle! Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel and let us know if we can help with any other questions you think of!

    Have a Pixie Dusted vacation!
