I have a vinyl machine and wanted to make my family, all some matching shirts. Is this allowed? I heard different stories, that Yes it is allowed if you dont sell them, & Ive heard no you cant make your own Tshirts. DO you know what is correct?

Hi there, Kristina! Thanks for coming back to see us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's do a little DIY and get your family ready for your big adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Kristina, I love that you want to make matching shirts for your crew! One of my favorite pastimes in the Theme Parks lately is admiring all the amazing creations Guests come up with for their t-shirts. And while I'm not much of a designer, some of my friends who have more creative flair and a vinyl machine of their own have made me shirts that I've proudly worn to the Parks many times. Rest assured, you'll have no problems designing and making your own shirts for your family to wear during your Walt Disney World vacation. My guess is you'll even get lots of compliments on them!

To set your mind at ease, you can always check the Rules & Regulations for a thorough breakdown of what types of clothing and other items aren't allowed in the Theme Parks.

Kristina, did you know that Disney has a line of customized shirts you can order now, too? You should still absolutely feel free to create your own, but it might be fun to supplement your Disney wardrobe with one of the great designs they have available. I'm looking at the patriotic ones for our summer trip! It's just one more fun option you can consider.

I hope this helps you plan your family's vacation look, Kristina! And do come back and see us again real soon. We're always here to chat!

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
