Do the Villas at Boulder Ridge accept registered service/ therapy dogs?

    Hi there, Marla!

You will find that Walt Disney World is both accepting and accommodating of service animals as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act. That means that in order for a pet to qualify as a service animal, it must perform a task or work for the benefit of a person with a disability. Animals in that role perform tasks such as assisting someone with a visual or hearing impairment, providing a warning to people with disorders that an animal is trained to detect (such as a seizure or low blood sugar), and helping with a wheelchair, among other things.

Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is no exception when it comes to accommodating service animals. You will want to note on your reservation that you have a service dog with you so the resort is better able to assist both you and your dog with settling in.

While service dogs are absolutely welcome at the theme parks, there are some attractions from which service dogs are restricted, and there are others that have some caution associated with them. The ones from which service dogs are restricted are more thrill type rides, like Space Mountain or Test Track. The ones that urge caution and require you to speak with a cast member when you arrive at the attraction include things like Toy Story Mania! and the Kilimanjaro Safari.

Wishing you a wonderful time planning your upcoming vacation!
