Are there any vegetarian options available at Mickey's Backyard BBQ (like vege hot dogs or burgers)? Can you give some examples? Do vege options need to be requested ahead of time or are they on the standard menu?

    Hi Shawna!

Walt Disney World does an excellent job at accommodating a wide variety of guests special dietary needs, including providing vegetarian options.

There can most certainly provide you with vegetarian options at Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Make sure to make a note on your Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) that you are a vegetarian. Call 407-WDW-DINE to make your ADR.

I suggest visiting Special Dietary Requests and sending an email Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to your arrival to speak with someone about your special dietary needs. They will be able to provide you with a list of the vegetarian options available throughout WDW. They can also provide you with the specific information on the vegetarian options at Mickey's Backyard BBQ. There are some vegetarian options on the standard menu, such as corn and potato salad.

I always suggest that those with special dietary needs make their requests ahead of time, so the chef and cast members are prepared to accommodate your needs.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
