Does the value Disney World hotels have pick up service from the train station? If so, which one? We are looking at taking a vacation and want to take the train instead of having to drive for 9 hours.

Hi there Marsha! As a fellow South Carolinian, I know how those long car drives can be!

Have you looked into the train service? I checked from Greenville, SC to Orlando and the one way trip time took 35 hours (train goes to Washington D.C. then back down to Orlando)... Which part of the State would you take the train from? My advice, if you go by rail, take the train from Columbia or Charleston, it is only around an 8 hour trip from Columbia.

Unfortunately, at this time, Disney's Magical Express bus service does not pick you up from the Amtrak station. They only pick up air travel at Orlando International Airport.

I you take the train, when you arrive, you will have to take a taxi from the Amtrak station to your resort. There are three stations in the area. Kissimmee is the closest to the parks at 15 miles, Orlando is 20 miles, and Sanford is 43 miles away. www.Mousesavers.com has a good explanation of the rail service and it can be located in the "plane, rental car, shuttle and more" section. They also list available discounts.

Once you are a guest on the property, you will not have to worry about the transportation around the Walt Disney World Resort, it will be taken care of by the excellent options of busses, monorails, and boats! I hope you have a Magical stay and if you have additional questions do not hesitate to contact me!
