We will be vacationing with our 4 1/2 year old and 2 1/2 year old for the first time to disney world. Would it be better to bring 2 small umbrella strollers or 1 in-line double stroller? Thank you.

    Hi Carrie,

How exciting that you are visiting WDW for the first time with your kids!  Be sure to stop by Guest Relations at any of the parks and pick up your "1st Visit" buttons.  They are fun to wear and make great free souvenEARs!  Be sure to write the date on the back with a Sharpe so you'll remember the date.

I've traveled both ways but would recommend the double stroller if both of your kids fit comfortably in it.  It would likely offer more storage room for things you'll need while in the parks.  It also allows one parent to push both kids at the same time and allow the other parent a little more flexibility (i.e., get food, go to the restroom and ride Space Mountain - ha!).  The double stroller may also allow your kids to lean back and take a little nap and offer more protection from the sun.  There are advantages to the umbrella strollers - they are easier to handle but the advantages to the double stroller usually outweigh them.

A couple of other tips about strollers - be sure to put a luggage tag or some form of identification on the stroller including your cell number.  You will be required to leave your stroller in a designated stroller parking area while in most attractions.  Tie a bright ribbon or something to the handle to help you identify it more quickly in the sea of strollers as it will likely be moved within the area by a cast member while you're gone.  If you're traveling in the summer months, be sure to bring a stroller fan for each child along with extra batteries for them.  If you have a rain cover, bring it along too as it often rains in the afternoon in central Florida.  It also helps protect them against wind in the cooler months.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.  Have a magical vacation!
