I will be vacationing with my family as a DVC member at the Magic Kingdom this June. I prevously read we could use a FastPass selection for lunch at the Be Our Guest restaurant but cannot figure how to do this. Is this still an option? Thanks!

    Hi Tracy!

Thanks for coming to visit us with your question! Dining at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom has changed a lot recently, so I’m glad you decided to “put our service to the test!”

You are correct that in the past, you could make a FastPass for lunch at Be Our Guest. This was a special kind of FastPass, was not part of your three daily attraction selections and was only for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel like yourself.

This process just changed in February. FastPass is no longer used at Be Our Guest, but instead you may make Advance Dining Reservations.  In addition to adding the availability of Advance Dining Reservations for this most popular of locations, Disney introduced breakfast at Be Our Guest in March! I enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at Be Our Guest this spring, and if you can secure an Advance Dining Reservation I highly recommend it.

If lunch or dinner is on your menu for the day, you simply must “try the grey stuff, it’s delicious!” I can only describe it as a chocolate or maybe even cookies and cream flavored whipping cream and it truly is delightfully delicious! Breakfast includes a selection of pastries, beverage and entree. I enjoyed my Open-Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich, but as I gazed longingly at the table next to mine, I regretted not choosing the Croissant Doughnut option. Hot from the oven and smothered in chocolate, caramel and bananas, I am already planning on feasting on that entree on my next visit!

Good luck as you try to secure an Advance Dining Reservation for Be Our Guest, where a dinner "is never second best!"
