We are vacationing at Disney World next week, we had the option to get FastPasses for the Fantasmic and Wishes Fireworks shows, this was not an option when we were at Disney last fall and we are unsure exactly how the FastPass for fireworks work?

Hi, Donna!  I absolutely love how the FastPass+ options include things like this.  It really shows that they were thinking of everyone in the family when they offered the opportunity to select a FastPass+ for Fantasmic! or Wishes.

So, here's basically how these options work.  If you decide to choose a FastPass+ for the fireworks (or Illuminations at EPCOT), your FastPass+ gives you access to a preferred viewing area for the show.  You won't have to try to score a prime seat an hour before the fireworks begin.  The FastPass+ allows you to arrive and know you have a spot in a great viewing area (I recommend about 15 minutes before show time, you head to your location).  It's a great way to savor the rest of the park, knowing that you'll be in prime position for fireworks.

It's a similar situation with the Fantasmic! FastPass+ option.  You won't have to line up with the rest of the guests 30 minutes or more before the show begins.  You'll have the best seats in the house, and you can stroll right up 15 minutes ahead of time and enjoy this incredible show.

I think this is a great use of the FastPass+ options for guests who like to enjoy the parks up until the last minute before having to race over to get a spot for one of these spectacular shows.

Have a great visit to Walt Disney World!
