Welcome back, Connie!
The Outdoor Kitchens are my favorite feature of the
International Flower & Garden Festival held at Epcot each spring. I have no doubt your family will enjoy this unique experience as much as mine did. I'm also excited to share with you the approach I took when I planned a Mother's Day visit with my three children who were 10, 8 and 4 at the time. I dubbed our lunch-time visit around the Outdoor Kitchens as our "Snack & Stroll."
First, we stopped by Festival Center to grab a Garden Passport
for each child. Knowing they could collect "stamps" along the way at each Kitchen helped to keep them occupied while we waited. In general, the lines move pretty quickly. Once they received a stamp, I'd put them in charge of collecting what we needed from the utensil turnstile while I waited at the counter for the food. We'd then find a place to sit so we could enjoy the item we selected to share. Then, we'd read in our Garden Passport what was available at the next Kitchen and off we'd go. This approach really kept my children engaged as they'd look forward to hitting the next stop. They still talk about that day, and the "Frushi" they got to try.
Of course, we still had to experience their favorite attractions, FastPass+ makes it easy to work those in around your schedule. The Kitchens will be open for your snacking enjoyment from noon until park closing each day of this fanciful festival.
I hope you find this helpful in planning your visit, Connie! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have.
Spring has sprung!
