Hello, I usually book my trips through the Disney web site. This time for my May 2014 trip I booked the hotel through a 3rd party site. Is there still a chance that I may be asked to use the magic bands? I really liked them on my Sept. trip. thank you

    Hi Karen,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

As long as you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you should receive Magic Bands for your visit. All the resorts moved to the Magic Band technology for their guests recently.

I don't have any experience booking Disney resorts through a third party, so I'm not sure what kind of reservation number you have. But I'd suggest that you go to My Disney Experience and try to link your reservation to your account. (It sounds like you are a regular who probably has a Disney account already).

If you are able to link your reservation, you then can begin using the My Disney Experience planning tools, which may have changed a bit since your September visit. The program is evolving all the time, so there are frequent tweaks and upgrades.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you as your visit nears. Enjoy!
