By using rider switch it will leave my 4year old with an unused tier1 FP while the rest of us with none. What do I do about this?

    Hi, there!

Bryon, I'm so excited to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. A visit with a preschooler in tow is sure to be magical!

Disney's Rider Switch is such a convenient service for families traveling with small kids. My family of five has a little one who is just too little to enjoy some of our favorite thrill attractions, so we love to use Rider Switch to make sure everyone gets a chance to ride (except the baby, of course)! It looks like my fellow panelist, Lindsey, has explained how you can use Rider Switch and FastPass+ together to maximize your precious time in the theme parks. (So great, right?) Since the person designated as the "Waiting Adult" will use a Rider Switch entitlement to enter the FastPass+ line, they don't need a FastPass+ for the attraction your group is using Rider Switch for. I suggest that person cancel their FastPass+ that is currently booked for the Rider Switch eligible attraction. Use that unused FastPass+ and the one your 4-year old has available to make a family-friendly selection that can be enjoyed together while the first party rides the Rider Switch attraction! This tip will make the wait much easier for your little one.

For more tips about traveling with your 4-year old, be sure to check out the Preschool Parents' Guide. It has lots of helpful information!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bryon. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
