We're using printed theme parks' maps to "reveal"/plan for our granddaughters' first trip I've downloaded the maps. Please tell me the recommended size of paper for decent map printing/reading

Hello, Carolyn! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When I'm not helping Guests plan magical vacations to the Disney Parks, I work as a creative professional and setting things up to print is a large part of my job. So, your question is right up my alley! Since you've already downloaded the theme park guide maps from the Walt Disney World Resort website, you will notice that they are set up as 19.73" x 8.98". This is a special size of paper not normally available at an office supply store, nor is it easy to print this size at home. So I would suggest using a legal-sized paper (8.5" x 14") or ledger-sized paper (11" x 17"). With either of these options, you will need to set up the map to print landscape (horizontal) and you will want to select an option to fit the map to the paper size. This will print the entire page, with map and legend, on to whatever size paper you are using.

The guide map PDFs are pretty high-quality, so if you have access to a professional print shop, you could work with them to print the maps even larger. But if you print on one of the sizes listed above, the maps will still be perfectly readable to use for your surprise reveal.

I just know your granddaughter is going to be over-the-moon excited for her trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Once you've surprised her with the maps, I suggest watching some videos with her of all the fun things you can do on your vacation at www.disneyplanning.com. If you have any other questions, please stop by again!
