You used to be able to hold a FastPass for a ride at DL and at DCA at the same time (if you didn't mind park hopping.) Could you clarify?

    Hi, Lisa!

I remember hearing that you could technically hold FastPasses for both theme parks. I never actually tried this. Although Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are in close proximity, they are not that close that I ever ventured park hopping to try it out.

From what I understand, the FastPass system is much more sophisticated now and the systems from both theme parks are linked. Because of this, you will have to stick with the one FastPass at a time. The exception is if you get a FastPass for World of Color. This FastPass will not keep you from getting another FastPass.

More new and exciting FastPass features are planned for later this year. The Disney MaxPass will be debuting, allowing guests to book their FastPass selections on the Disneyland app. There will be a charge per guest for this service, but will eliminate having to travel around the parks to get the paper FastPass tickets. Traditional FastPass kiosks will still be available at no cost to guests.

Have fun using the FastPass system and zipping through those lines at the Disneyland Resort!
