Do all of us need to have a Fastpass on one attraction, or can I use my Fastpass on a different one to use with my toddler? (e.g. They have a 7 Dwarfs Fastpass, I get a Winnie the Pooh to use with 2yo, but still do 7 Dwarfs using rider switch?)

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Robin! Rider Switch is going to be such a convenient tool for your family to use on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. When you use it, you'll be able to get a return time for a participating attraction so that your group can split up into two riding parties and always have someone watching the little ones who aren't quite tall enough to ride. The second riding group gets to enter the attraction using the FastPass+ queue so your family won't have to spend double the time waiting in line in order for everyone to be able to ride their favorite attractions!

Some families like to use Rider Switch in conjunction with FastPass+ to save a little bit more time, and if you choose to do that you'll need to make sure that everyone who will eventually be riding the attraction has a valid FastPass+ for the attraction. This includes both the first riding group as well as the second party that will be riding using the Rider Switch entitlement. Rider Switch has recently gone fully digital so when you tap your MagicBand or ticket to get a return time a Cast Member does have the ability to check to see that everyone has a FastPass+ if the first group intends to use that line to ride. Make sure to keep that in mind when your booking window opens later this fall so you can plan the best possible day for your family! If you let us know the heights and ages of your kids, we'll be more than happy to make some suggestions for FastPass+ selections that would make the most out of the time you have together.

Remember that Rider Switch is also available when you're using the standby line, and this is where you'll be able to double up on attractions as you mentioned in your question. If you have a group waiting in the standby line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and you want to take your toddler just across the way to enjoy The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, you can get a Rider Switch return time from the first attraction and enjoy it later using the FastPass+ entrance. Here's the great news: since the Rider Switch return time is valid for up to three guests, if you have one or two older kids who want to ride again, they're welcome to come with you!

I hope this answers your question, Robin, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
