If there are 7 of us (2 families) on MDE (my account) and I purchased Memory Maker for my family will everyone's pictures be on my account? Including those taken if my family is not with the other family?

    Jennifer:

I used Memory Maker for the first time on my trip in October and again this past weekend. You are correct: anyone who is linked up to your My Disney Experience account (for say, making their FastPass+ selections for them) will have any pictures of them that are linked to their MagicBand show up in your PhotoPass account.

This can be good: you won't miss a picture, and both families can essentially "share" the Memory Maker purchase if you're willing to download and sort their pictures for them.

There is also a negative: You will have the same number of pictures of the exact same photo as you do people in the picture with a linked MagicBand. Thankfully, on your PhotoPass account, the photos will be grouped together and you can delete the duplicates, just keep in mind that you could potentially have 7 copies of the same photo. This can happen with the attractions that have ride photos, like Tower of Terror. Whoever is on the ride with a MagicBand linked to your account will have their picture made and the photo will show up on your PhotoPass account. My sister-in-law and nieces spent an extra day in the parks after we had left. All of their ride photos showed up on my account because I had managed their FastPass+ choices.

One way to avoid mixing photos is to have a separate PhotoPass card for the other family. Instead of holding out their MagicBand to the Disney photographers to transfer a picture, they can use a PhotoPass card, obtained from any Disney photographer. Then they can create their own My Disney Experience account and link the PhotoPass Card and purchase the pictures individually or by purchasing their own Memory Maker.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
