There will be 5 of us going to Disneyland. (3 adults, 2 children ages 6 and 3). 1. Are we able to take Uber from LAX to the Grand Californian (and back to LAX)? 2. Will Uber take kids without carseats? Thanks!

    Hey, howdy, hey, Sandra!

Thanks for such a great question. I’m glad you are thinking ahead for your safe travels to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Yes, Uber, as well as other rideshare companies, do offer service between the Los Angeles International Airport and the Disneyland Resort Hotels. However, per California state law, children under the age of eight must be secured in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat while traveling in most motor vehicles. So it’s a really good thing you are planning for that.

If possible, it may be best to plan on traveling with your own child safety seats. Depending on the size and weight of the children in your party, you may even consider traveling with foldable or inflatable booster seats. We have enjoyed the convenience of devices like BubbleBum for our young Mouseketeers. As an alternate option for traveling to your Disneyland Resort Hotel, you may consider using the Disneyland Resort Express motorcoach service. The use of child safety seats is not required on a large motorcoach like the Disneyland Resort Express.

You are going to love staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I recently had the privilege of staying at this luxurious hotel. I loved enjoying the wonderful amenities. And the exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure Park was so convenient! I also visited the recently-opened GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill, located poolside at the hotel. I hope you get a chance to spend some relaxing moments at this gorgeous venue. Very nearby, inside the theme park, the children in your party will love exploring attractions such as Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have such great adventures for preschoolers and other young children to enjoy!

I hope you have a magical vacation, Sandra!
