Hello! There will be 4 of us going on DCL. But my oldest 21yr old daughter would like a separate cabin. Does the price of the stateroom/trip change based on people in a stateroom? So, instead of 4 in one cabin, split it 2 and 2?

Welcome aboard, Melanie! Aren't you excited to set sail with Disney Cruise Line? On our very first sailing, my parents and brother joined my family for a magical cruise. We discovered then that it was less expensive for one of our kids to stay in my brother's stateroom than for him to stay on his own, as the one guest sailing in a stateroom alone is charged double occupancy.

So, yes, the best thing to do to save money is to assign two of your family members in one stateroom and two in another. You might want to book connecting staterooms so you can leave the connecting door open, allowing your whole family to enjoy both rooms, and everyone to decide on the best place to bunk for the night. You'll really enjoy having two staterooms in which to spread out, especially because the staterooms also include split baths, so each stateroom has two bathrooms, one with a sink and toilet, and the other with a sink and bath/shower. That makes it so convenient when everyone is trying to get ready at the same time. And with two staterooms, you'll have even more options!

The connecting verandah staterooms have another fabulous feature. The partitions between the verandahs can be folded back, creating one larger verandah between the two staterooms. We have loved having that long verandah when we've sailed in connecting staterooms!

Have so much fun planning this magical adventure, Melanie. Please stop back with other questions. We're happy to help as you continue to count down to the big sail date!
