When upgrading to an annual pass during a WDW stay, do you only pay the price difference of the cost of the Magic Your way tickets?

Hi, Amy! Becoming an Annual Passholder was such a great choice for me, with its great discounts at select merchandise and dining locations, access to Annual Passholder exclusive merchandise, and the ability to head on down to the Most Magical Place on Earth anytime I can. Of course, my husband will be happy to explain it is more like an excuse to visit more often! Haha! Whoever said too much pixie dust is a bad thing? Not me!

The past couple of times I purchased my Annual Pass, I have actually done an upgrade with Magic Your Way tickets I had saved. It is very easy to do and yes, it does only cost the difference in the price of the tickets. To find the cost you will pay, use the Theme Park Ticket page to configure the cost of the ticket you wish to use in the upgrade. Then, head over to the Annual Pass page and check out the current cost of your choice of pass. The difference in price of these two tickets, plus applicable taxes, will be the price that you pay when you upgrade. Remember to double check this right before you leave for your vacation, as the prices of tickets and passes are subject to change at any time.

Amy, a couple of quick things to note - At this time, an upgrade cannot be completed online; it must be done in person at any ticketing window or Guest Relations location. Also, you must complete the upgrade within 14 days of first use of the original theme park ticket, and it must have admissions remaining on it.

I hope this information helps you during your upcoming visit! Please let us know if you have any further questions!
