It's my understanding that a 2 year old doesn't get a park ticket. Is this correct? If that is the case how do they get a fastpass to ride with the rest of the family. Do they get something to show, in order to get on rides? Thank you!

Greetings, Amber! Thanks for trusting the Disney Parks Moms Panel to help you plan your visit to the Disneyland Resort.

You are correct that children under the age of 3 do not require a ticket to enter the parks. This also means that they will not need a FASTPASS to enter the FASTPASS Return queue with the rest of their family. Simply obtain FASTPASS tickets for everyone in your party over the age of 3 and your little one will just tag along with everyone else. There are a few attractions that offer FASTPASS that do not have height requirements that your 2-year-old will enjoy riding with you: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Haunted Mansion, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, and Toy Story Midway Mania!

For other attractions that your child might not be able to ride, you can utilize Rider Switch. This allows part of your group to ride the attraction while an adult waits with the child. Then when the first group is done, the adult waiting with the child and up to two other Guests can use the Rider Switch ticket to ride the attraction with a minimal wait. Just ask a Cast Member at the attraction queue for a Rider Switch ticket.

Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have. We have lots of tips for traveling with little ones! Have a great day!
