I understand that Fastpass+ will not be available for Galaxy Edge attractions, but is there any information about Disability Access Service and how that will work for those who have that? We will be there in November, and my son uses DAS.

    Hi, Melissa!

I am so glad that you asked this question, as it was one that I actually needed to look into for my own family, as well.  The force is strong with my family, and we are beyond excited to travel to a galaxy far, far away when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at the Walt Disney World Resort.  My son has autism, and we always utilize Disability Access Service when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with him.  Like you, I was also curious as to how Disability Access Service will work in this immersive new land.

I called and spoke to a Cast Member in Disability Services with regard to your question, Melissa.  The Cast Member with whom I spoke assured me that even though FastPass+ will not at first be offered for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions, you will still be able to use Disability Access Service for your son.  When using Disability Access Service with any attraction, your ride return time is based on the current standby wait time for that attraction.  Please keep in mind that this will also pertain to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions.  Your wait times may be longer there than for most attractions, but by using Disability Access Service, your son will be able to wait in an environment where he can be calm and comfortable.

As you plan for your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog for all the latest information on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and other important Walt Disney World news.

May the force be with you!
