Hi! I understand that I cannot currently link a gift card to our MagicBands, however, we are staying off resort. Is there still a way to pay down our total with giftcards? Or should we purchase with our giftcards first then use our MagicBands?

    Hi Natalie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for an awesome Walt Disney World Resort vacation that's just around the corner! Be sure to consider adding Memory Maker to your trip so you can capture and save all of the magical memories you make together during your trip.

MagicBands are a fantastic addition to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It's so nice to be able to access your theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just the touch of your MagicBand. Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel are able to use their MagicBands to make charges throughout Walt Disney World Resort and these charges are added to their Disney Resort hotel room reservation. Unfortunately, there is no way to link a Disney Gift Card or credit card to a MagicBand. So if you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, unfortunately, you will not be able to use your MagicBand for charging purposes during your Walt Disney World Resort visit.

Since you have Disney Gift Cards, I recommend that you use them for your purchases during your vacation. I use Disney Gift Cards for most of my Walt Disney World Resort vacations and it's a really easy way to pay for your vacation expenses. Be sure to register your Disney Gift Card so you can protect the balance on your card and manage your card balance during your vacation!

Let us know if you have any additional questions as you count down the final sleeps until your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
