Children pin trading with cast member

    Hi, UK family at WDW end Oct, I'm worried if kids get lost (have Aspergers), I can't have my cellphone on due to roaming charges but will be on wifi. Should I buy some cheap cells in the US or rely on cast members to reunite us?

    Hello Libby and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's an added delight for me to assist another family from the United Kingdom with their jolly holiday plans to visit the magic of Walt Disney World Resort. 
    As the Mum of 4 Mouskeketeers I can totally relate to your valid concerns about becoming separated from your own dear children whilst touring the Disney Theme Parks. Not having the ability to be in instant contact with family like we would at home via our mobile phones certainly is a worry and this is especially so when young folks have a non-apparent disability like Aspergers Syndrome. 
    I'm so happy to be able to share with you my own experiences of using Disney's complimentary Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi) which I've found to be an invaluable communication facility for my family. Upon arrival at Walt Disney World Resort simply keep your phone in flight mode (which disables data roaming) but enable the Wi-Fi setting - which means you'll be able to utilise all your usual Wi-Fi messenger services, but without the data roaming. I'd like to reassure you that as international Guests this method has worked perfectly for my family and I'm quite sure it will for you too!
    My top tip for alleviating any 'getting lost' concerns is to ensure everyone knows what to do should they become separated; for example plan to stay put for at least 5 minutes before moving to a previously agreed meeting spot or before seeking the assistance of the nearest Cast Member.  Plus it may be helpful to know that Cast Members can be easily identified by their oval shaped name tags and in the instance of lost children will accompany the child to the nearest Childcare Centre until they can be reunited with their family.
