what is the typical weather in January at WDW?

    Hi Kerry,

January is one of my favorite months to visit Walt Disney World!  I have learned over the years that the best approach to packing is to plan for everything!  The temperatures vary, but on average you can expect lows in the 50s and highs in the high 60s to low 70s.  I suggest that you plan to dress in layers, as the mornings and evenings will be cool but your afternoons will be warm enough to shed a few layers.

Now I will say that I have been when temps dropped into the 30s and 40s so I always pack a ziploc bag with a pair of gloves and a hat for everyone in our family.  Some trips we've needed them, and other times they stayed right in the suitcase...but when the temperatures drop the crowds practically vanish so we love being prepared to take advantage of the empty parks!

Hope this helps, have a great time!
