Is there any type of shuttle available between WDW and Port of Miami? We are considering a combined Disney cruise and WDW vacation and any assistance or advice you can provide would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard, Lisa! How excited you must be to begin planning a land and sea vacation with Disney! Those are my family's favorite types of vacations since we get the best of what Disney has to offer!

The easiest way to enjoy a surf and turf trip with Disney is to book your cruise out of Port Canaveral, which is just an hour from the Walt Disney World Resorts, and Disney Cruise Line offers ground transportation options (for an additional fee) for guests enjoying both the parks and the cruise.

However, if you have your heart set of cruising with Disney out of Miami, you can certainly do this. It just takes a bit more planning. Since Disney doesn't offer transportation between Orlando and Miami, as it's about four and a half hours away, you'll need to find your own transportation. The easiest and most cost-efficient way to travel between the cities is with a one-way car rental. There are plenty of car rental spots near Walt Disney World and there are plenty near the port of Miami as well.

Since it is quite a drive to get to Miami, I recommend you drive down the night before and stay at one of the hotels near the port that partner with Disney Cruise Line, so you can have free transportation the next morning from your hotel to the port. When you begin planning, you can chat with the agents at Disney Cruise Line at 800-951-3532 to get the most up to date list of the current hotels in the Miami area that partner with Disney to offer transportation and luggage service to the port after a night's stay. Plus, you'll want to be sure you're there the night before so you have plenty of time to relax before you board the ship. Finding yourself stuck in traffic and rushing to get to the ship in time the day of departure is not the best way to begin your vacation!

I hope those details help, Lisa! Have so much fun planning and enjoy your trip!
