What type of package do you need to purchase in order to get free dining plan, if available in August? Currently have room only reservation trying to figure out if it would be cost effective? Have pin code that saved 30% on room. Thanks for all your help

Although the promotions that Disney offers vary, past free dining promotions have required the purchase of a vacation package that includes non-discounted resort accommodations and theme park tickets.  There have been minimum requirements as to how many theme park days must be purchased as part of the package and I would venture to guess that the same would be true for any future free dining offers, though I can't predict what that minimum would be. Depending upon your family's dining habits, the free dining promotion may very well equate to a better savings than the room-only discount.  Keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about upcoming promotions.  Good luck, Jacalyn!
