What type of light jacket/sweatshirt will be needed for evenings in mid Oct? What are the lows in the early evening? What about pants vs. shorts? Not sure how to pack? Thanks only 30 days & counting!

I just double-checked with weather.com and found that in mid-October average daily highs at WDW are in the mid-80s and average nighttime lows are in the mid-60s. I tend get chilly in the evenings and in heavy air conditioning, so I personally would bring a sweatshirt with me. (And I will also tell you that the record lows in the area for October are in the high 40s, so I would be super sure to check the 10-day forecast before your departure, just to make sure you're not on the low end.)

For your main clothing, I still think shorts are primarily in order. The morning may be cool, but if you wear long pants, I think by lunchtime, you'll be regretting your choice. However, I would still throw a pair of jeans in your bag too, just in case you hit a cold snap.
