    Jaime from CA Asked

What type of food and drinks are allowed in the parks?

Hi Jaime and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for bringing us your question about the kinds of food and drinks allowed at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

When packing a bag for your day at any of the theme parks, it’s important to remember that glass containers are not allowed. With the exception of baby food in a glass jar, of course. I always pack some bottled water, canned sodas, juice boxes and snacks like fruit and crackers for my family.

I have seen many families eating homemade sandwiches at lunch time while out and about. The exception to meals is, if they need to be warmed up, they are not allowed. To be sure that what you’re wanting to bring is allowed into the theme parks, take a look at the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules.

An important thing to remember when you’re going through security before entering any of the four theme parks, is to let the security Cast Member know that you have food items in your bag during your security check. It makes the process a lot quicker.

Jaime, while bringing light snacks and beverages helps save time and money for my family during our visits, I always make at least one special dining reservation. From all American cuisine to delightfully authentic Asian foods, there’s something for everyone to enjoy when dining at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Please feel free to come back to see us soon with any other questions! Helping you plan your magical vacation is our specialty!
