What type of dining is considered quick service and sit down? we are trying to figure out which dining plan is for us, 2 adults and a 2 &10 year old, w/ 2 year old not much patience small window for sitting but don't want to cheat ourselves.

    Hi Tammy!

A table service is any meal where you are seated, and you have a server. These include buffets, dinner shows, all you care to eat family style meals, and any restaurant where you order from a menu and your server brings your meal to you.

A quick service meal is one where you order your meal, pay at a register and find a seat. These are more "fast food" type places where you don't have a server. One exception to this rule is the Pepper Market at the Coronado Springs resort. It is considered a quick service location, but if you eat inside the restaurant instead of taking your food to go, you will have a server who will bring you drinks.

On our last trip, my daughter was 2 1/2 and I had the same concerns about her losing patience at too many sit down restaurants. We did the regular dining plan and chose a lot of character buffet meals. The characters and activity kept her interested, and since we had immediate access to the buffet and didn't have to wait for our food to be delivered, we were usually finished with our meals before any major meltdowns occurred.

I hope this information helps you choose the best dining plan for your family!
