TY! Short trip, 4 nights and 3 full days, only 2 day park tix(no hop). Was planning first day at Epct and last at MK. Would both at MK make more sense with new fantasyland to explore? Cant imagine Disney without walking around the world showcase. dd5, ds2

    Hi Jessica,

You are a woman after my own heart! I, too, cannot imagine any trip to Walt Disney World without at least one visit to the World Showcase.

You are right that there's more to see and do at Magic Kingdom now that New Fantasyland is open, including an expanded Dumbo ride, a new splash zone, the Under the Sea -- Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, Enchanted Tales with Belle, new character meet-and-greet areas and additional street performances and surprises.

I'm sure your children will find lots that's new for them to explore. The good news, though, is that you are arriving on Labor Day, and crowds drop off dramatically after the holiday. You shouldn't face long lines for most attractions that week. And, if you are planning on Magic Kingdom that Thursday, there is a morning Extra Magic Hour to extend your time.

So my instinct is to stick to your original plan because you don't want to go home feeling like you've deprived yourself of the sights and flavors of the world at Epcot, which, by the way, has been my daughters' favorite park since they were the age of your children.

I would just plan to arrive at Magic Kingdom early on whatever day you choose to give yourself time to enjoy all the attractions.

I hope that's useful. Wishing you a wonderful visit!
