Two families are planning our first trip to WDW. Total 4 adults, 5 children. We want to stay as close together as we can. What resorts offer joining rooms? I would like to stay ay Animal Kingdom and they want something cheaper..any suggestions?

    Hi Sonya!

How wonderful that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World with another family! Both the adults and kids will love to have friends to share the magic of Disney together!

You can request "connecting" or "adjoining" rooms at any of the Walt Disney World resorts, with the exception of the Fort Wilderness Cabins, because those are cabins, not rooms. Make sure to put in the request  when you call to make the reservation. While they cannot guarantee make any guarantee's, they will do everything possible to accommodate your request. Call a few days before you arrive to ensure that the request is noted in the reservation. When you arrive the Cast Member can tell you if your rooms are adjoining or connecting.

Walt Disney World classifies a "connecting" room as one that you can access internally with a door inside the room. "Adjoining" rooms are next door to each other, but do not connect internally.

You can request connecting and adjoining rooms at all of the "value" resorts, if you guys are looking for a budget-friendly solution. I personally love All Star Movies and Pop Century! The Animal Kingdom Lodge is also wonderful!

I hope that you have a magical vacation! If you have any other questions, please let me know!

    Magically,
    Stacy
