Trying to read up on the fastpass+ the best that I can. In the past we've arrived early before parades and fireworks to get a good spot. Is this still going to be possible to do? I really don't want to use a fastpass for those things if I don't have to.

    Hi Jennifer!

Welcome back to Walt Disney World!  The new FastPass+ system is an amazing addition to the Walt Disney World vacation experience.  I think you are going to love how this new technology makes your vacation even more magical.

Rest assured, if you do not select FastPass+ for a parade or fireworks show that you will still be able to arrive early and secure a "good" spot for viewing.  My advice is to use FastPass+ for your favorite must-do attractions and then use the standby queue for the rest.  Personally if I have some popcorn and a frozen Mickey bar, I quite enjoy taking a break while waiting for a parade or fireworks show.

I hope this information helps you with your park touring plans Jennifer.  If you have any more questions, please come back and ask them here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help plan Disney vacations just as much as we love taking them ourselves!

    Blessings,
