We are trying to plan a WDW vac but can't decide on time of year, traveling w/ 5A and 3C (8,5, and Infant, between 1-2), we are thinking 12/29/13-1/4/14, 1/19/14-1/25/14, 3/16/14-3/22/14, or 3/23/14-3/29/14.What are crowds and weather like during times?

    Hi Audrey,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

If crowds are your chief concern, the week of Jan. 19 to Jan. 25 is probably the one you want to choose. The Sunday and Monday of Martin Luther King weekend will be busy, but crowds should be relatively low the rest of that week. I usually plan a long weekend visit for my family the weekend after MLK Day and find some of the lightest crowds of the year.

The weeks immediately before and after Christmas are historically the most crowded of the year. And any time in March will have relatively heavy crowds because of college and secondary school spring breaks.

Our Florida weather tends to be mild, sunny and comfortable during January, February and March, though it can fluctuate fairly widely and quickly. We had some of the coldest weather of the season late in March this year, but just for a day or two. (Remember that we Floridians consider anything under 70 degrees sweater and boot weather.)

Generally, January days tend to range from lows in the upper 40s to highs in the lower 70s. By March, the lows are usually in the mid 50s and the highs in the upper 70s.

I hope that is helpful. Please let me know if I can answer other questions for you as you plan your visit. Enjoy your time with your family!
