We are trying to plan a vacation to Walt Disney World. It will be our first visit to any Disney resort. My children are all older (20yrs, 15yrs and 13yrs old) I am wondering where would be the best place to stay and best parks for kids that age?

    Hi, Rhonda!

How exciting that you are coming to the World!

While all of the Resorts are incredible in terms of decor and amenities, you can certainly make a choice based on your own priorities. If space is a premium, for example, you'll likely want to check out the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground. This isn't roughing it -- by any stretch. Each Cabin can accommodate up to six people, and offers its own kitchen/dining facilities. Fort Wilderness offers a wide variety of activities for Guests: swimming, Chip'n'Dale's Campfire Singalong, and more.

Other options for a party of five include beautiful Villas, affiliated with the Deluxe Resorts. They come complete with kitchen/dining space, in-room laundry facilities and can accommodate eight. These Villas offer access to pools, Resort activities, and on-site dining.

Every Park manages to appeal to a wide range of ages. For example, each Park has at least one thrill ride (Epcot is the only Park without a traditional roller coaster, but it has Test Track and Mission: Space!). Each Park offers character interactions, too. While each Park offers live entertainment, you'll find two world-class stage shows at Animal Kingdom ("Festival of the Lion King" and "Finding Nemo: The Musical"). Characters are everywhere throughout the four Parks, so you'll have no trouble finding beloved Disney friends for photos and autographs.

Narrowing down all of these choices will help you create a trip that is completely personal to you and your traveling party. Getting there, as they say, is half the fun -- and planning for a Disney trip can really enhance the experience and rev up the excitement level!

Enjoy your time in the World!

    See you later, celebrator!
