Hi I am trying to plan a vacation for 5 days betwn. 11/3-11/13. What are the best days for stays given crowd calendar and wk of 11/5 is "Jersey week"? It will be our first visit to the park! Kids are 6 and 7 year old.

    Hello, Pritesh!

As a former New Jersey teacher, I can tell you that I have spent many "Jersey Weeks" visiting Walt Disney World. Even though you'll find lots of your New Jersey friends and neighbors traveling to the Walt Disney World theme parks, the crowd level really isn't that bad.

The best days for stays at Walt Disney World during "Jersey Week" are the ones earlier in the week. Many public schools only have off for the NJEA Convention, which is held on Thursday and Friday. Planning your vacation to begin either the weekend before the convention or earlier that week will give you a better chance at avoiding the bulk of the Jersey Week crowds.

To help make sure your very first visit goes more smoothly, don't forget to book your FastPass+ selections. Resort guests can do it 60 days in advance of their stay, and non-resort guests 30 days prior. Having the first three selections made in advance means you'll have a time window to visit a specific attraction. This will help save you wait time, especially for the most popular attractions.

Enjoy the planning part of your magical vacation, Pritesh!
