I am trying to plan a trip to WDW for June or July. It is very confusing with all the options and where to stay trying to figure out the best deal. So I am asking for help we will be traveling with a 2 and 4 year old help!!!

    Hi Kristina,

I know, it can seem really overwhelming at first - there are so many options!  Once you start making some decisions, it will get a lot easier.

The first thing you need to do is choose a resort. June and July are popular months to travel, so they can get quite crowded.  It's also really hot during the summer in Florida.  With a 2 and 4 year old, you'll definitely want to head back for a nap or rest at your resort during the middle of the day.  If your budget allows, I recommend staying at a resort with easy access to at least one park.  The Polynesian is my favorite resort for families with small children.  Wilderness Lodge is also nice and is usually a little less expensive than the other deluxe resorts.

If a deluxe resort isn't in your budget, Port Orleans is a nice moderate resort.  It's one of the smaller resorts, so getting to bus stops, restaurants, and pool areas is a little more convenient than at some of the other resorts.

After you make your resort decision, you'll want to decide what kind of tickets to purchase.  We usually choose park hopper passes. They allow us to go to extra magic hours in the mornings and then switch to another park in the afternoon.  However, you can have just as much fun (and save some money) with a basic park pass that allows you to get into one park only.

Once you've made those decisions, you'll want to make your dining reservations.  We'd be happy to offer suggestions about these as well.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
