I am trying to plan a trip for a large family - 2 parents, 5 kids under 7, and 2 grandparents - with a special need; the grandparents can't walk around for long periods of time due to health issues. Are there carts or wheelchairs for rent? other ideas?

    Hello Heather,

I'd be happy to help you with this question.  My mother had many health issues we had to deal with when we visited Walt Disney Worldso I know exactly where you're coming from.

There are wheelchair rentals in every park of Walt Disney World.  If you have a handicap placard for your car, you can park in the handicapped parking lot where they have wheelchairs available to take them in to the park.  You can then rent wheelchairs for the day (or entire stay).

I've attached a link for Guests with Disabilities so that you can look at everything that Disney has to offer.  Special viewing areas during fireworks and parades for Guests in wheelchairs are also available on a first come, first served basis.

I hope this helps.  Have a magical time at Disney!
