I am trying to plan a trip this fall to Disney World. We haven't been in about 4 years. We now have 4 boys ages 10,9,5,&2 Im only concerned with our 2 year old. Can we use rider swap at all rides? We want to do everything. Any suggestions?

Howdy, Kristal! Thanks for dropping by for assistance in planning your vacation! I have a toddler, too, so I hope I can help shed some light on Walt Disney World Resort’s Rider Switch Service.

Our family uses Rider Switch at all 4 Theme Parks, and you’d be surprised how many rides include the service! You can find a list of them on the Rider Switch website, but know I’ve used it personally on several other rides, such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Toy Story Mania. You can walk right up to the Cast Member at the entrance to the ride and ask about a Rider Switch pass. I’ve detailed exactly how to use Rider Switch in this answer to another guest, if you need more details. You can also combine Rider Switch and FastPass+; it’s how we cut down on wait times for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which my young grade schooler simply adores!

If you’re looking to get everything in one trip, here are a few ideas: First, make good use of your FastPass+ reservations, because after you use your initial three, you can return to your My Disney Experience App and schedule another one, and another after you use the fourth. I’ve had friends use up to 15 in one big day! Another luxurious option is to try the Ultimate Day for Families VIP tour, where you will be escorted through FastPass+ lines to ride all the best family rides in Magic Kingdom. I’ve done the Ultimate Thrills VIP Tour, and it’s a fabulous way to see everything, as well as hear special tidbits and facts all day! I hope you have a fabulous vacation! ~Lindsey P.
