I am trying to plan this trip on a budget, can anyone help me with ideas of how to do this because looking at things so far this vacation looks quite expensive and I really want to take this vacation. I am a singe mom if that helps

Hi LuTia!  Traveling to Disney can be pricey but there are definitely ways you can save.  If possible, the least expensive time to vacation is during a value season.  The actual dates can vary but in general, late August through the second week of November, late November/early December and the month of January are great times to visit.  When my children were young, they had Election Day and Veteran's Day off from school.  We would take them out of school for the two or three days in between which created almost a full vacation week.  Other times we would vacation in late August, just before they went back to school which worked out great.

You'll also want to keep an eye out for special offers.  Staying at a value resort will keep the cost of your room down and when ordering tickets, consider purchasing the base ticket only.

If possible, bring breakfast items you can eat in your room along with your own snacks and water.  If needed, you can ship yourself a care package ahead of time.  I'm not sure how old your children are but many of the quick service meals have large enough portions where you can share and purchasing refillable mugs will save money on your soft drinks.

I hope this gives you a few ideas.  Please let us know if you have follow-up questions.  Diane
