I am trying to plan a trip for 11 (7 ad, 4 k). Thought 2 cabins at Ft. Wilderness, but some concern about cramped space. I was thinking a 2 BR suite plus a studio room at SS? Or 3 small rooms somewhere better. Want easy access to MK, for kids.

    Hi Tessily!  (LOVE that name!)

I am a big fan of Fort Wilderness and the cabins, so my answer is to stay at Fort Wilderness!  I think 2 cabins will be plenty of room for everyone.  The bunk beds are perfect for the kids, 2 adults can sleep in the bedroom and 2 adults can sleep on the Murphy bed.  I slept on the Murphy bed on my last stay there and it's actually quite comfortable!  I think the amenities Fort Wilderness has to offer should push your decision to a firm YES.  You are just a ferry boat ride to the front entrance of the Magic Kingdom!

The recreation at Fort Wilderness is awesome too.  Plan a night to attend Chip'nDale's Campfire Sing-a-long and make 's'mores by the campfire.  Grab some chairs on the beach and watch the Electric Water Pageant show.  Take the whole group on a horse drawn wagon ride.  There are TONS of things to do there.  You can even rent a golf cart for your transportation convenience around the resort.  (That's my favorite part!)

I do love Saratoga Springs as it is one of my home resorts with Disney Vacation Club, but Fort Wilderness is at the top of my list.

    Have a magical day!
